Hiking
There's certainly no shortage of amazing hiking in the Telluride area. Hiking trails in the area can range from beginner and easy trails to all-day 14ers. There are so many to choose from, but our concierge can help direct you to one that fits your skill level and desired terrain. Just ask - we'd be happy to help!

Bear Creek Falls - Easy/Moderate
Bear Creek Falls is the most popular trail in Telluride. The 2.5-mile (one way) trail departs right from town on South Pine Street and is wide and well-marked, making it great for families. Not to mention, it ends at a spectacular waterfall!

Jud Wiebe - Easy/Moderate
The Jud Wiebe is another local favorite! Located on the north side of town, this trail is short, but steep. It begins at North Aspen Street, where hikers can also access the short hike to Cornet Falls. The trail makes a 3-mile loop and comes down to town along Tomboy Road. Enjoy views of the entire valley floor and Ajax Peak!

Blue Lake - Moderate/Strenuous
Blue Lake is a magical turquoise alpine lake situated above Bridal Veil Falls. This hike can be anywhere from 6-10 miles, depending on where you start. Hikers can begin their trek just past Pandora Mill on the east end of town and hike up the road to Bridal Veil Falls, or simply drive up the road and begin the hike at Bridal Veil Falls. The switchbacks will add at least four miles on to the six-mile round trip. The Blue Lake turnoff begins above Bridal Veil falls and traverses waterfalls and fields of wildflowers before ending up at a pristine blue lake. Mining equipment can also be found along the way.
