When To Visit Telluride

Honestly, there's no bad time to come to Telluride. From sunset hikes to powder runs, every season in Telluride is equally amazing. The River Club is open during the offseason (early April to late May and late October to late November), but please note that full amenities are only available in-season. In addition, many restaurants and shops are closed in Telluride in the shoulder seasons.

From water adventures like SUPing and white water rafting to hiking, biking and Jeeping, there's no shortage of outdoor activities for the adventure enthusiast. In addition, Telluride is a music lovers' paradise - festivals, intimate concerts and free weekly outdoor shows are just a few of the musical happenings around town. Other festivals, including Wine Fest, Film Fest and Mushroom Fest, only add to the town's allure in the summer.

Fall in Telluride provides a beautiful backdrop for all of your favorite events! Prime hiking, biking and watersports are still in full swing, but with a change of scenery! Telluride's oranges, yellows and reds also make for a great 4x4 trip! Explore the San Juans on a Jeep tour and be sure to bring your camera - you'll definitely get a picture or two worth framing.

With steep inbounds territory and a variety of other terrains for all other ability levels, skiing and snowboarding is accessible for everyone in Telluride. If you prefer other winter adventures, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice climbing and skating are also popular in the area.
